Set up payouts
Connect Stripe so you can sell paid tickets, and find out where to see your money.
On the organizer site
- If you’re an owner, open Sales, then Finance, and find Get paid.
- Choose Set up payouts and complete Stripe’s steps. If you stop partway, choose Continue with Stripe to pick up where you left off.
- Finance checks the current Stripe status when you return. Follow any remaining requirements shown under Get paid; Ready confirms setup is complete.
In Velvet Pro
- Open Settings, then Finance, then Set up with Stripe, or Continue Stripe setup.
Only owners can set up payouts. Add and verify an email on your account first.
Guests pay the price you set. Velvet’s fee, 10% of each paid order and at least $0.99 an order, comes out of it; at the door it’s 1% plus card processing. When you set a price, the ticket editor shows what guests pay and what you receive.
Paid out starting 3 days after the event; banks add 1–2 business days. Velvet starts sending each event’s ticket sales to your bank 3 days after the event ends, less Velvet’s fee and any refunds.
Your balance is in Stripe. An owner opens it with Manage payouts under Get paid in Sales → Finance. Finance also shows collected ticket payments and refunds; POS → History shows bar tab payments and refunds.
