Get tickets

Choose your tickets, review the total and pay securely. Your tickets stay in your Velvet account.

9 steps

In the Velvet app

  1. Open the event and tap Get tickets.
  2. Choose a ticket type and how many you want. Some tickets need a password or the organizer’s approval first.
  3. Have a promo code? Tap Enter promo code, type it, then tap Apply. A promo link fills it in for you. You return to your tickets with the updated total before continuing.
  4. Answer any questions, agree to any event terms, then tap Continue.
  5. Choose Apple Pay on a supported iPhone, Google Pay on a supported Android phone, or pay with a credit or debit card. Free tickets do not require payment.
  6. When you see You’re in, add your Velvet to Wallet or tap View tickets.

On the web

  1. Log in, open the event and choose Buy tickets.
  2. Choose your tickets, answer any questions and agree to the terms, then choose Continue to secure payment, or Reserve tickets for free tickets.
  3. Pay on Stripe’s page. You come back to My tickets when it’s done.

The listed ticket price is the price you pay. Review your ticket quantity and total before confirming your order.

You can get up to 10 tickets in one order, or fewer if the organizer set a lower limit.

If you leave the payment page before paying, Velvet holds your tickets for about 30 minutes. On the same phone, open the event, tap Your purchase, then Resume checkout. On the web, in the same browser tab, open the event, choose Buy tickets, then Resume original purchase.

Age limits are checked at the door, not when you get tickets.
