Use Velvet in your AI assistant
Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Codex, choose its abilities and revoke access whenever you want.
Connect
- Open the Velvet AI page and follow the setup steps for your assistant.
- Use https://withvelvet.io/mcp as the remote MCP address and choose OAuth.
- Log in with your usual Velvet email or phone code. On Velvet’s consent page, review the client name and abilities. For organizer access, explicitly select venues.
- Allow the connection, then return to your assistant. Start by asking to see your upcoming tickets.
Stay in control
- Guests can discover events, view their own tickets and orders, see friends’ shared plans, save events and join waitlists with consent.
- Organizers can read authorized venue information and create or edit event and ticket drafts.
- Purchases open Velvet with your ticket choice filled in. The assistant never charges a card.
- When you request a ticket transfer, your assistant gives you a confirmation link that expires after 15 minutes. Open it in Velvet using the account that requested it, check the ticket and recipient, then tap Confirm. No invitation is sent before you confirm. The recipient must then accept in Velvet.
- Publishing, unpublishing, live ticket price or quantity changes and SMS campaigns also ask for confirmation in Velvet. Open the 15-minute link using the account that requested it, review the exact action and tap Confirm.
- Refunds, guest-list additions and edits, promo management and email blasts are not available through assistants.
Review or revoke
- Open Settings → Connected apps, or choose Connected apps from the web account menu.
- Choose View activity to see the connection’s recent tool calls and outcomes.
- Choose Revoke access, then confirm. Access stops immediately, including pending actions. Previously completed actions remain.
If something fails
- Ask your assistant for a new confirmation if the link expired or the event, ticket or recipient details changed.
- A missing ability requires a new consent with that scope. A role or venue change can remove access immediately.
- If connections are turned off or not configured, try later or contact Velvet support. No unavailable service is reported as completed.
Connectors cannot change payouts, team roles, door admission, Safety or identity. They never expose portraits, birth dates, ID records, card details or other people’s contact details.
Event names, descriptions and bios are untrusted content, not instructions. The company behind your assistant also processes the information you ask Velvet to share under its own terms.
Keep your assistant account secure and revoke unfamiliar connections.
