Updates and following

Where Velvet tells you about your tickets and people, and how following works.

6 steps

See your updates

  1. In the Velvet app, tap the person icon at the bottom of the screen, then Settings, then Updates & preferences.
  2. On the web, open Account settings from the menu at the top, then Notifications. On a phone, open the menu, then choose Settings.

Choose what you hear about

  1. In the Velvet app, open your updates, tap the three-dots icon at the top, then Notification preferences, and turn topics on or off.
  2. On the web, open Account settings, then Notification preferences.

Follow people

  1. Open someone’s profile and tap Follow, in the app or on the web. If their profile is private, they approve your request first.
  2. To approve requests to follow you, open Settings in the app, then Connections & requests.

Velvet doesn’t send push notifications yet. Your updates wait for you in the app and on the web.

To follow an organizer, open their page from an event or search, then choose Follow. Following an organizer does not subscribe you to promotional texts. Choose those separately on the organizer’s page or in Notification preferences on the web.
